Right now we ship within the United States only, including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.
Because vintage sizing runs differently from modern sizing, we skip the original tag size and list true flat measurements (chest, waist, hip, length) for every garment. Compare those numbers to a similar item already in your closet for the most accurate fit.
Always check the specific care notes on each listing first, since fabrics vary — but as a general rule, hand wash or use a gentle cycle in cold water for knits and rayon, dry clean wool coats and tailored pieces, and air dry everything flat or on a hanger rather than in a machine dryer, which is hard on aged fibers.
Every item is inspected and measured by hand before listing, and we note its honest condition — from gently worn with no flaws to well-loved with visible character like fading or a repaired seam — right in the product description, so there are no surprises.
Online prices are firm to keep things fair for every customer, but if you're local and shopping in person at ${ADDR}, feel free to ask about bundle pricing on multiple pieces.
We do buy and trade for select pieces that fit our curation — 1960s–1990s garments in good condition. Email us photos and measurements at support@recoveringhipster.us and we'll let you know if it's a fit for the shop.
Because every item is one-of-a-kind, we don't offer traditional wholesale, but if you're a stylist or shop looking to source a curated group of pieces, email us and we'll see what we can put together.
Since each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, once it's sold it's gone for good and won't be restocked. We recommend completing checkout quickly once you've added a piece to your cart.
